Tate Engineering is a family-owned mechanical services company serving the Mid-Atlantic area for nearly 100 years. We specialize in steam & hot water boiler systems, compressed air & air treatment, HVAC & mission-critical environmental systems, filtration, pumps, audits, preventative maintenance, and rentals.
Tate offers comprehensive industrial system solutions and field services, including a dedicated preplanning process that identifies optimal construction processes, seeks opportunities to modularize critical mechanical equipment and meets or beats project and shutdown schedules.
We were founded in 1924 by William Tate to service the Baltimore marine industry. We’ve been continually based in Baltimore and family-owned to this day, evolving with the needs of the market to expand our service to the entire Mid-Atlantic region. In January of 2020, we acquired Site Support Services (SSS) to further broaden our service and equipment offerings and provide our valued customers with complete floor-to-basement mechanical services and solutions.
We understand that downtime means lost revenue – it’s just not an option. Your mechanical systems need to be done right the first time – with the right equipment, by the right people, right now.
At Tate, everyone is guided by our Core Values – Cooperative, Competent, Respectful, Proactive, Resourceful, Trustworthy and Communicative. These shine through in everything we do.
We have the expertise to tackle the most complicated technical issues and are dedicated to keeping your business’ mechanical systems up and running. Our goal is to keep both your internal and external customers happy – no matter what it takes.
Our core philosophy at Tate Engineering is that of safe, quality production.
We offer continuous and superior safety planning and training in compliance with OSHA, ASME, and NBIC standards to ensure that we stay on the path to industry-leading safety excellence.
From the start, our energy efficient solutions and products have optimized operations for facilities and decreased our carbon output.
Tate provides green, LEED and energy solutions to help customers reach their energy, environmental and sustainability goals.
Through our seven geographically strategic offices we serve mission-critical data centers, food processing, manufacturing, healthcare, commercial, industrial, institutional, local and federal government, military, water companies, pharmaceutical, energy production customers and many more.
Each office provides local service for virtually any mechanical system, as well as access to technical experts company-wide.
